ABOUT US
operations@forthefuture.family
Issued Nights is a recurring listening and study gathering exploring sound, text, culture, and attention. Built in Los Angeles, the series exists somewhere between salon, classroom, listening room, and social ritual.
Each edition invites participants into slower forms of engagement through reading, guided listening, and shared dialogue.
ETHOS
We believe listening is a practice. In a culture shaped by speed, distraction, and endless output, Issued Nights creates space for patience, curiosity, and presence.
Attendees are welcome to arrive as artists, thinkers, neighbors, students, or simply as listeners.
Each gathering follows a flexible structure:
Reading
A short text, excerpt, poem, interview, or cultural document.
Listening
Curated records, field recordings, compositions, or sound works played with intention.
Dialogue
Open reflection and guided discussion.
Some editions also expand into soundwalks, field studies, guest conversations, and communal synth sessions.

ACCESS
Those who stay connected receive early access to future gatherings, recommended readings, session archives, mixes, and evolving materials connected to the project.
Issued Nights attracts musicians, DJs, writers, designers, educators, curators, students, and culturally curious listeners seeking thoughtful in-person experiences.
The room is intergenerational, welcoming, and shaped by participation rather than performance.
WHY IT MATTERS
Issued Nights is an attempt to restore shared cultural attention.
To gather in a room, hear something fully, discuss it honestly, and leave changed in some small way remains valuable.
